 A Mother's Day Nightmare in Princeton, Illinois. A 3-year-old boy was struck by gunfire as police burst into a barricaded room, ending a frightening hostage situation. Multiple agencies responded to the Hummingbird Mobile Home Park in Princeton, Illinois, on Sunday, May 10th at 2:42 a.m. The initial call went out as a domestic disturbance but officers discovered much worse.  42-year-old, Anthony Rodriguez, had barricaded himself in a room armed with a knife. Anthony had taken several people as hostages, including Aurora Almanza and her 3-year-old son.  Multiple agencies were on the scene, including the Bureau County Sheriff's Office, Illinois State Police and  the Princeton Police Department.  Authorities attempted to negotiate but ultimately rushed the room when they heard screaming coming from inside.  Officials have reported that officers fired shots as they entered the room. Kano Tricycle Rider Returns N15M To Owner

A Kano tricycle rider, Auwalu Salisu, has returned N15 million that was forgotten by a passenger who came from Chad to buy goods in Nigeria.

22 year old Salisu, a resident of Yankaba in Nasarawa local government area of the state , returned the money after an announcement about the missing money, on a radio station in Kano.

The money, N15 million when converted, includes; 10.130 million CFA and N2.9 million.

Speaking in Kano, Salisu said he did not notice that his passenger had forgotten the money until he reached home, saying that, after discovering the money, he informed his parents who ordered him to go and look for the owner.

The tricycle rider explained that, he conveyed the owner of the money from Badawa to Bata market, and went back there after informing his parents about the money,but did not meet him.

“I went back home and gave the money to my mother who kept it inside her wardrobe. I was afraid and eager to hand over the money back to the owner. I had no intention to touch a penny. it’s not mine, as such prohibited is for me"

While he and his parents were thinking of the way out, he heard an announcement on the radio, and a number was given to reach the owner.

On his part, the owner of the money said he never thought good people like the boy exist on earth, and that he had given up on the money.

Speaking through his brother, Musa Hassan, the owner appreciated the boy and his parents for raising him properly

The owner of the money, donated the sum of N400,000 to the boy as a token of his appreciation.
