A Tennessee woman had to have her leg amputated after being attacked by her own dog. This terrifying incident occurred in the Murfreesboro, Tennessee home of 42-year-old Amanda Mears.  On the evening of December 10th, Amanda was preparing to take her dog, a Pit Bull/ American Staffordshire mix, named "Dennis" out for a walk.  As the two were making their way to the door, Amanda's other dog Ralphie, an American Bully, escaped from the room she was keeping him in.  In the blink of an eye, a vicious dog fight erupted. LASCON DEBUNKS SALE OF ADMISSION FORMS FOR NURSING, MIDWIFERY OR POST-BASIC NURSING PROGRAMME .(PHOTO).#PRESS RELEASE

Lagos State College of Nursing (LASCON), Igando has debunked the viral social media posts/adverts regarding the sale of admission forms into the College for General Nursing, Midwifery or Post Basic Nursing programme for the 2023/2024 Academic Session.

A statement issued by the Management of the College on Thursday stated that the general public, especially those seeking admission into the College, should be wary of fake online posts/adverts imploring them to call a certain number to purchase admission forms or register online through a malicious notification link.
It emphasised that LASCON has nothing to do with the fake viral posts/adverts, adding that it is the handwork of faceless and dubious-minded individuals who are using the College name and logo to scam unsuspecting prospective candidates and other members of the public.

The release reiterated that admission into the Lagos State College of Nursing is now strictly through JAMB and prospective candidates must have scored 200 and above. Also, the Institution does not offer a two-year Post Basic Nursing Programme as alleged by the advert and the admission process for the 2023/2024 academic session has been concluded.
LASCON also urged members of the general public to always verify the source of the information before acting on them or to visit the institution for further inquiries on its admission process.
