  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”.  Mohbad died the day his Canadian visa was approved – Show promoter


A Canada-based show promoter, Prince George, has revealed that Mohbad died the day his Canadian visa was approved.


George who turned up for a candlelight procession organised by Nigerians in Toronto, Canada on Saturday night, September 23, said he planned surprising the late singer's friend, Bella Shmurda, by bringing him to his show. 


He said; 


“I had planned to surprise the late singer’s best friend, Bella Shmurda, during the latter’s show in Canada by bringing Mohbad to the show.


“I sent a message to Mohbad’s manager in the morning of the day he died to inform him that his visa had been approved, only to be told that Mohbad had died mysteriously”
