 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. Mohbad's Death Opened Our Eyes To Areas We Didn't Focus On, Says Actor Kunle Afolayan

Nigerian actor and film producer, Kunle Afolayan, has opined that the late singer, Ilerioluwa Aloba, aka Mohbad, open the eyes of many to areas that were not focused on.

Afolayan, while mourning the deceased in a post on his Instagram account, said that every person has a certain purpose to fulfill before they leave the world.

He said, "I know the last few days have been very emotional for a lot of people, including myself, in regards to Mohbad's death.

"But for me, I have a different take. We all came to this world to fulfill a certain purpose, and when that is completed, we depart this world.

"I think he came to liberate and start a movement, to open people's eyes to areas we never paid attention to. I think he has fulfilled the essence of why he came to this world.

"My condolences to the wife, the child, the mother, the father, and his relatives."

MohBad died on Tuesday, September 12, at the age of 27.
