Nigerians Pass A Vote of No Confidence On The Nation's Judiciary

Following the show of shame displayed by the Appeal Court in the judgement of the February 25th 2023 presidential election tribunal, the labour party has aptly taken the matter to the Supreme court affirming that they got judgement and not justice.

To this end, some Nigerians have condemned the appeal court pronouncement as most unfortunate for the nation's democracy.

A cleric in the Awka Catholic diocese Very Reverend Monsignor Prof.John Paul Nzomiwu called for the arrest of INEC chairman Prof Mahmoud Yakubu for deceiving Nigerians and wasting the nation's resources in the most controversial presidential election in the history of the country.

Monsignor Nzomiwu expected the judiciary which he believes is corrupt not to rule in favour of Mr.Peter Obi who won the election.

The cleric felt totally disenchanted with the political affairs in the country and hoped that only Divine intervention can reverse the ugly trend.

In his reaction,a legal expert based in Amawbia,Chief Chike Oranye rejected the tribunal judgement as unjust and affirmed that given the evidence submitted by the labour party against the ineligibility of Alhaji Bola Ahmed Tinubu to contest the presidential election, he is not fit for the position.

On their part,a front line politician in the state Chief Valentine Ozigbo and the member representing Awka north/Awka south Federal constituency in the house of representatives Prof.Lilian Orogbu expressed belief that the miscarriage of justice displayed by the appeal court will be reversed by the Supreme court.(Ministry Of Information).
