 GOVERNOR ABBA  YUSUF SACKS  KANO STATE HEAD OF SERVICE   The Executive Governor of Kano State, Abba Kabir Yusuf, has relieved the State Head of Service, Abdullahi Musa, of his appointment with immediate effect. In a statement  by the Director General, Media and Publicity to the Governor, Sunusi Bature Dawakin Tofa, the decision is part of the ongoing efforts by the present administration to reposition the state civil service for greater efficiency, discipline, and improved service delivery across all government institutions. Governor Yusuf expressed appreciation to the outgoing Head of Service for his contributions and dedication to the service of the State  The statement further directed that Bilkisu Shehu Maimota, the Permanent Secretary, Admin and General Services at the Cabinet Office, to serve in an  acting capacity pending the appointment of a substantive Head of Service. Police Confirms Abduction of Lafia Polytechnic Student

 Nasarawa State Police Command has confirmed the abduction of a student of Isa Mustapha Agwai Polytechnic Lafia, Nasarawa State during a robbery incident.

Police Public Relation Officer PPRO SP Ramhan Nansel, confirmed the incident in Lafia.

According to the PPRO, the police around 10:30pm yesterday received a distress call that armed robbery was taking place in a house at Ombi 1, Lafia near the institution.

He explained that, Upon receipt of the report, Police men were immediately drafted to the scene and on arrival, it was discovered that three people were injured and the victims were rushed by the police to the Dalhatu Araf specialist Hospital Lafia for treatment. 

The PPRO said that the command has launched an investigation into the case as the Commissioner of Police, Mohammed Maiyaki has deployed all tactical teams of the command to go after the perpetrators of the act.

SP Ramhan Nansel therefore, called on the public to provide the police with useful information that lead to the rescue of the victim and arrest of the perpetrators of the crime.
