  Think Tank: Peter Obi's economic analysis, simplistic, shows a pedestrian understanding of the national economy(P The Independent Media and Policy Initiative (IMPI) has described recent comments by Peter Obi, the Labour Party presidential candidate in the 2023 election, on using money to drive economic productivity as not only simplistic but also hollow.   The policy group noted that Mr Obi's position, which he canvassed in a recent TV interview, shows a pedestrian understanding of the national economy. In a policy statement signed by its Chairman Dr Niyi Akinsiju, IMPI argued that economic productivity is not a stand-alone item that could be automatically fixed with a single-dose action. It said: "We do not begrudge Mr Obi accusing the administration of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu of being ineffective in implementing economic policies. “Pray For Him”: Prophet David Elijah Releases Prophecy on Peter Obi  

Pastor David Elijah, the spiritual leader of the Glorious Mount of Possibility Church, has prophesied that Peter Obi will be arrested by authorities on trumped-up charges.

Prophet Elijah, in a recent message via his official YouTube page, Possibility TV, asked Nigerians to pray for the presidential hopeful.

He said God revealed to him that Obi, the presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the February 2023 general election, would be kept as a prisoner in his own house.

His words:

“House arrest is an issue. You must pray for your brother, pray for your candidate, Peter Obi. Because I don’t know, what is this house arrest all about? What’s the offence? I don’t know. My own is to pray for unity; pray for peace. But I am seeing things. “In the realm of the spirit, what I am seeing is what is called house arrest.”

In a related news, another man of God, Prophet Elijah Bamidele Ilukholor of the Christ House of Prayer and Deliverance Ministry, Lagos, said he saw a vision of Obi in handcuffs.

Speaking to his congregation recently, Prophet Bamidele counseled Obi to be extremely careful because he might end up in the custody of the Department of State Services (DSS) in Abuja. According to him, “I saw it very clearly”.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
