 “No electricity, no vote,” South Africans threaten to shun ruling party ANC Residents in Katlehong, a township outside Johannesburg, have resolved to boycott South Africa's upcoming local elections on November 4 due to long-standing failures by authorities to provide basic services like electricity. For over 20 years, around 180 households in the community have relied on illegal electrical connections pulled from neighboring areas to power their homes. Angry over the lack of formal grid infrastructure, residents are directing their frustration at the ruling African National Congress (ANC). "We have made a collective decision: no electricity, no vote," said community leader Lesiba Rankapole, 59. "We know it is illegal, but we had no choice because we cannot live without electricity. Obinabo Summons Chinelo Anadumaka For Maltreating Her Late Brother's Wife (PART 1)

Anambra State commissioner for Women and Social Welfare, Honourable Ify Obinabo has summoned one Chinelo Anadumaka for maltreating her late brother's wife.

This session which took place at her office in Awka was between the widow, Lovina Anadumaka, her sister in law, Chinelo Anadumaka, her husband's son, Uchenna Anadumaka and her mother in law, Maryrose Anadumaka.

The complainant Lovina Anadumaka explained that she has been living in peace with her late husband until he became sick and eventually died and ever since then, her sister in law Chinelo has been a thorn in her flesh.

Lovina in tears recounted how she was asked to bring every property of her late husband immediately he died and how she gave Uchenna the sum of two million naira for the burial of her late husband which Uchenna squandered.

The widow went on to present evidences of all the transactions she made to Chinelo and Uchenna and revealed that the duo has connived  with her caretaker and collected house rent of one of her husband's house's in Ibusa Delta state.

She also stated that Chinelo went ahead to put tenants in her husband's house in the village and ever since has chased everyone away from the compound.
