  Oshiomhole Convinced Us To Make Obaseki Governor – Philip Shaibu Philip Shaibu, the former Deputy Governor of Edo State, has disclosed that his choice to support his former boss, Godwin Obaseki, stemmed from his respect for Adams Oshiomhole, the former National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC). According to Naija News, Shaibu shared his doubts about Obaseki during an interview on Channels Television’s Political Paradigm program on Tuesday. Shaibu admitted that he lacked confidence in Obaseki's leadership even before they took office on November 12, 2016. He explained that despite his initial hesitations, he ultimately backed Obaseki out of respect and based on the assurances provided by Oshiomhole. He stated, “Obaseki is not a politician. We made him governor because Oshiomhole persuaded us. UGWUMBA UCHE NWOSU DRUMS SUPPORT FOR HOPE UZODIMMA'S REELECTION BID 



Hon. Ugwumba Uche Nwosu has drummed full support for the reelection bid of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma


Uche Nwosu who was the governorship candidate of AA in the 2019 Imo guber election expressed readiness to mobilize thousands of votes to deliver Hope Uzodimma come November 11th


He described Uzodimma as a man of character who has remained focused in his quest to reconstruct , rehabilitate and fully return Imo State to her place of glory.


"Hope Uzodimma is only the most qualified person to be elected come November, I believe in his government and I want all Imolites to support him to enable this government to consolidate on the achievements already set in" Uche Nwosu stated


With this recent endorsement, it is assumed that all well meaning Imolites has backed the reelection bid of His Excellency Distinguished Senator Hope Uzodimma and come November 11th Imolites will go out in mass to vote for His Excellency the governor.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
