Kaduna businessman drags ex fiancee’s father to court, demands dowry refund A businessman, Nasiru Dayyabu, on Wednesday, dragged the father of his ex-fiance, Mallam Sani Direba, to Shari’a Court II sitting at Magajin Gari, Kaduna over N260,000 dowry. The complainant had joined Direba in the suit against two brothers demanding a refund of N250, 000 dowry and N10,000 introduction money he paid to marry his daughter. Represented by his counsel, Mr Sani Sunusi, the complainant told the court that he sent his people from Karaye, Kano State to Kaduna in 2025, to seek for the defendant’s daughter’s hand in marriage. “We paid the dowry and the introduction money (kudin gausuwa) and were waiting for them to set a date for the wedding,” he said. “Unfortunately, the lady’s father called to inform us that they have cancelled the marriage.” The counsel said the complainant had asked for the refund of his money since Sept. 2025 but all the efforts he made proved abortive. Umuawulu Monarch Seeks Sustained Fight Against Insecurity

The traditional ruler of Umuawulu Igwe Joel Egwuonwu has expressed belief in the ability of the state to excel beyond its present capability.

In a statement on the steady growth of the state 32 years after its creation, Igwe Egwuonwu has high expectations in the ability of Governor Chukwuma Soludo to move the state to the next level following the giant strides of his predecessors in office.

The Royal father expects more tenacity of purpose in the area of security to rid the state of several acts of criminality.

He used the forum to announce that his new yam festival will hold on the 30th of this month with a special prayer session to precede the event on the 29 th of September.

To mark the new yam according to Igwe Egwuonwu, cultural displays, Agricultural exhibitions,etc will spice the celebration.

In a related development, a university don Prof.Ada Sam Omenyi admitted that the state has excelled in the area of Education since its creation.(MOI)

Innoson Gives Out Brand New IVM G5 and Salary For Life To The Man Who Prophesied About His Vehicle Manufacturing In 1979.  Last Saturday, July 22nd the Chairman of Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Ltd, Chief Dr Innocent Ifediaso Chukwuma OFR gave out a brand new Innoson IVM G5 to Mr Ikechukwu Osakwe popularly known as Osabros who prophesied to him in 1979 that he would be the first man in Africa to manufacture vehicles and sell to different African countries.  The prophecy was given at the period the then Innocent Chukwuma could not boast of a car, talk less of manufacturing one.
