 TEAM LAGOS EMERGES TOP AT 23RD NATIONAL SPORTS FESTIVAL SOUTH WEST ELIMINATION Lagos State athletes proved their dominance in the South West by edging out regional competitors and emerging top in the five team events contested at the elimination series qualifier for the 23rd National Sports Festival later this year in Enugu. The elimination series featured team events in volleyball, basketball, football, beach volleyball, and cricket in male and female categories. While the team clinched only the female football ticket by topping their group, they showed dominance in three other sports by winning both the male and female tickets. Team Lagos took first position in the volleyball male and female categories. The male team defeated their counterparts from Ondo in the finals by 25-18, 24-26, 25-20, and 25-20, while the female team defeated Team Oyo by 25-18, 22-25, 28-26, 16-25, and 15-8. 26-YEAR-OLD KANO MAN CELEBRATES BECOMING A US CITIZEN THREE YEARS AFTER HE MARRIED OLDER AMERICAN WOMAN. (PHOTOS).

26-year-old Kano man celebrates becoming a US citizen three years after he married older American woman.


A Kano man, Suleiman Isah, who married an American citizen, Janine Reimann, has become a US citizen.

 

Isah was 23 years old when he got married to Reiman, 46, on December 13, 2020. 

 

The couple met on Instagram 10 months before their wedding.

 

Ms Reiman, a chef based in Lindon, California, subsequently flew into Nigeria for the wedding ceremony which was held at Barracks Mosque Panshekara.

 

In May 2023, Isah announced that he had joined the US Army. 

 

Taking to his Facebook page on Thursday, October 26, 2023, Isah celebrated becoming an American citizen.

 

"Alhamdulillah, I am grateful to served in the world strongest military. Thanks to the United States military for giving me the opportunity to serve and become a citizen of the United States of America. I am now an American," he wrote.
