 Texas woman charged with medical child abuse for falsifying toddler’s health and pushing unnecessary feeding tube surgeries A Texas woman has been charged with medical child abuse after allegedly falsifying her toddler’s medical history to pressure doctors into performing unnecessary procedures, including feeding tube surgeries, in what authorities are calling a “sickening” case. Kaitlyn Rose Laura, 31, faces charges of injury to a child and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. Officials said she deliberately misled medical staff about her 3-year-old son’s health to obtain a gastrostomy tube and later a gastrojejunostomy tube, despite no documented medical need. Investigators allege that hospital staff observed the boy eating normally while Laura claimed he refused all food. Covert surveillance confirmed the child was able to eat meals without difficulty, prompting authorities to stop tube feedings. Abducted Delta community leader, three others escape from kidnappers’ den



The abducted President-General of Amukpe Community, Sapele Local Government Area Delta State, Mr Harrison Ekeleme and three others have escaped from kidnappers’ den.

Ekeleme and the three young men were abducted along the Warri-Sapele Expressway by armed men some days ago.

A senior police officer, who pleaded anonymity, told newsmen that a covert police operation led by SP Harrison Nwabuisi of Sapele Division closed in on the kidnappers, forcing them to abandon their victims.

Confirming his release, Ekeleme thanked God for sparing his life, saying “It was a horrific experience, saying the kidnappers seemed familiar with the routes around Warri and neighbouring villages.

“I never lost hope in our security agencies,” he said

Confirming the development, the Chairman of Sapele Local Government Council, Hon Eugene Inoaghan, commended the police and assured residents of continued efforts to stamp out crimes from the locality.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
