 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Countries that recognise Hamas as a terrorist organisation

The United States and European Union in October designated Hamas a terrorist organisation because of its armed resistance against Israel, which has included suicide bombings and rocket attacks.
Hamas is a Palestinian political and military organization. It was founded in the late 1980s with the goal of liberating Palestine, including the West Bank, Gaza Strip, and East Jerusalem, from Israeli control.
Hamas is considered a terrorist organization by several countries, including the United States, Canada, the European Union, and Israel.
It has engaged in both political and armed resistance against Israel, and it currently governs the Gaza Strip, a territory on the eastern coast of the Mediterranean Sea that is bordered by Israel and Egypt.
Hamas is known for its Islamist ideology and has both a political wing and a military wing.
