 Group demands declaration of Aba North Assembly seat vacant, threatens protest A group known as the Coalition of Aba North Ethnic Youth Groups has mandated the Speaker of Abia State House of Assembly, Emmanuel Emereuwa to declare the Aba North seat vacant in seven days. The Aba North seat has been a subject of controversy since November 27, 2023, when the Court of Appeal sitting in Lagos sacked Destiny Nwagwu of LP and declared Aaron Uzodike of the PDP, the duly elected member to represent Aba North. However, the seat has remained unoccupied since November 2023, as Uzodike of PDP has not been inaugurated by the Speaker, despite his several appeals. A fresh controversy erupted Friday, as the Coalition of Aba North Ethnic Youths Groups, asked the Speaker to declare the seat vacant within seven days or expect a city-wide protest in Aba. Deaf Man Seen Driving Keke Napep In Umuahia

In a heartwarming display of determination and resilience, a hardworking deaf man has been spotted confidently driving a Tricycle in Umuahia.

Despite facing communication challenges, this individual has defied the odds and embraced a livelihood that showcases his dedication and perseverance.

His commitment to earning a living not only serves as an inspiration but also highlights the importance of inclusivity and equal opportunities for all members of society.

His way of communication is a print out with description;

“This keke driver is deaf, touch him when you want to stop him. Please help me tell others that may not understand English Language. Thanks”

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
