 Hackers steal $6.3 billion from Binance in record Crypto Heist Hackers have stolen $6.3 billion from Binance, the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange, in the biggest crypto heist in human history. “This was a complex attack, and we are doing all we can in coordination with law enforcement to resolve it,” Binance said in a post about the breach, which has shaken the cryptocurrency market. The cryptocurrency exchange said on Friday that deposits were unaffected and that it was working with partners to freeze some of the affected assets, with about $3 billion located so far. Withdrawals have been suspended for the next day. Binance did not mention the status of the remaining $3.3 billion, but said it will cover all losses. ENUGU POLICE OPERATIVES SMASH CHILD STEALING SYNDICATE, ARREST ONE;


...as CP Kanayo orders the transfer of the case, arrest and prosecution of other suspects at large

Police Operatives of the Enugu State Command, serving in the Igbo-Eze North Police Division, working with the Neighborhood Watch Group, has smashed a child stealing syndicate and arrested one Ifeanyi Omeke aged 21, at Igogoro Village in Enugu-Ezike community of Igbo-Eze North Local Government Area, on October 27, 2023, at about 1.30 p.m.


2. The suspect was nabbed after he sneaked into the complainant's house in the mentioned community and attempted to steal a one-year, three-month-old girl child.


3. The suspect confessed to the crime,

stating that he was contracted by his cohorts at large to steal children for ritual and other criminal purposes.


4. Meanwhile, the Commissioner of Police, CP Kanayo Uzuegbu, psc (+), has ordered the immediate transfer of the case to the State CID for further thorough investigation that will lead to the arrest of other members of the criminal syndicate and their prosecution.
