 PRESS RELEASE OPERATION HADIN KAI FOILS MASS ABDUCTION ATTEMPT AT FGGC MONGUNO Troops of Operation HADIN KAI (OPHK), in collaboration with personnel of the Nigeria Police Mobile Force (MOPOL), successfully foiled an attempted mass abduction by ISWAP terrorists at the Federal Government Girls College (FGGC), Monguno, at about 0130 hours (1:30 a.m.) on 19 July 2026. The FGGC facility is currently being utilized by the Borno State Government as temporary hostel accommodation for students of the Federal Polytechnic, Monguno. The terrorists reportedly gained access to the facility with the assistance of suspected collaborators in an attempt to abduct students. Alert security personnel immediately engaged the terrorists with coordinated and overwhelming firepower, effectively stalling their advance with Sector 3 Quick Reaction Force (QRF) immediately reinforcing the school. Everton chairman Bill Kenwright dies aged 78


Everton football club of England,  chairman and majority shareholder, Bill Kenwright has died at the age of 78.


In a statement on the club's website on Tuesday, October 24,  the club confirmed it was mourning the death of its long-term chairman, who it confirmed passed away on Monday evening.


"The club has lost a chairman, a leader, a friend, and an inspiration," the statement added.


 "The thoughts and prayers of everyone at Everton are with his partner Jenny Seagrove, his daughter Lucy Kenwright, grandchildren and everybody who knew and loved him."


Kenwright first joined the board at Everton in 1989 and became deputy chairman a decade later after buying a majority share in the club.


He had been chairman of Everton for almost 20 years.
