 I Don’t Wish It On You – Genevieve Nnaji Knocks Trolls Age-shaming Her Veteran Nollywood actress Genevieve Nnaji has responded to social media trolls who made age-shaming comments about her. According to Naija News, a user on X reacted to Genevieve's post on April 3, 2025, stating that she couldn't escape aging and was getting older. The comment read, “You really cannot cheat nature. My fine wine is finally growing old.” In her reply, Genevieve pointed out that things could be worse; she could age significantly and eventually die if she were fortunate. She wrote, “It gets worse, bro. I’ll get so old I’ll die. If I’m lucky.” Another troll referred to her as “mummy,” suggesting she was old, but Genevieve quickly dismissed the comment, saying she wouldn’t wish old age on him. First class student dies in car accident weeks after burying father

young Nigerian student with First Class honours identified as Chidera John tragically loses her life in an accident just a month after her father’s funeral.

Chidera had recently achieved an academic milestone by graduating with first-class honours in Biochemistry a week after the burial of her father.

Reports indicate that Chidera, 22 years old student, passed away on October 14th. Regrettably, her promising life was cut short when she was involved in an accident on October 14, 2023.

A colleague, Jerry Godsent who made the announcement via Facebook lamented the pain of losing such a brilliant student and friend.

He further shared snapshots of Chidera celebrating her First Class honours on Facebook barely two weeks before the accident that claimed her life.

Graduated with first class honours in Biochemistry on the 30th of September 2023.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
