 President Trump awarded inaugural FIFA Peace Prize at World Cup draw in Washington  Gianni Infantino, the FIFA President presented the honour onstage at the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts on Friday, saying Trump had been selected “in recognition of his exceptional and extraordinary actions to promote peace and unity around the world”. “This is your prize, this is your peace prize,” Infantino said, after Trump took the stage to accept the trophy, a medal and certificate. “There is also a beautiful medal for you that you can wear everywhere you want to go.”   FIFA says the prize is for “individuals who help unite people in peace through unwavering commitment and special actions”.  Accepting the award, Trump called it “one of the great honours of my life”, before claiming to have “saved millions and millions of lives – the Congo is an example, over 10 million people killed and it was heading for another 10 million very quickly. First class student dies in car accident weeks after burying father

young Nigerian student with First Class honours identified as Chidera John tragically loses her life in an accident just a month after her father’s funeral.

Chidera had recently achieved an academic milestone by graduating with first-class honours in Biochemistry a week after the burial of her father.

Reports indicate that Chidera, 22 years old student, passed away on October 14th. Regrettably, her promising life was cut short when she was involved in an accident on October 14, 2023.

A colleague, Jerry Godsent who made the announcement via Facebook lamented the pain of losing such a brilliant student and friend.

He further shared snapshots of Chidera celebrating her First Class honours on Facebook barely two weeks before the accident that claimed her life.

Graduated with first class honours in Biochemistry on the 30th of September 2023.
Had an accident and died on the 14th of October 2023.
Late Miss Chidera John from Abia State happens to be the only child.
