 MODEL COLLEGES/UPGRADED JUNIOR SECONDARY SCHOOLS COMMENCE E-REGISTRATION FOR YEAR 2025 ENTRANCE EXAMINATION The Lagos State Government has commenced Year 2025 e-Registraton Entrance Examination (Screening Test) for primary 6 pupils transiting to junior secondary schools into its Model Colleges and Upgraded Junior Secondary Schools.  The Director, Lagos State Examinations Board, Mr. Adebayo Orunsolu confirmed that the e-Registration will commence on Thursday 6th February and ends on Friday, 16th May, 2025, adding that the Screening will be conducted through Computer Based Test (CBT) only between Wednesday, 28th May and Friday, 30th May, 2025, at the various CBT designated centres across the State. Mr. Orunsolu stressed that qualified pupils from public and private Schools are to pay a sum of #10,000 (Ten Thousand Naira Only) for the Application. GOVERNOR MUTFWANG COMMENDS OPERATION SAFE HAVEN TROOPS FOR RECOVERING REMAINS OF MISSING COMMUNITY LEADER, CONDEMNS GRUESOME ACT


Following thorough security briefings and diligent investigation, the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has acknowledged a significant breakthrough by Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) troops. 

Through credible intelligence, the troops have successfully recovered the remains of the missing Ardo of Panyam, Adamu Idris Gabdo.

In a statement, Governor Mutfwang strongly condemned the heinous act and lauded the perseverance and tenacity of the security personnel. 
He praised their professionalism and determination in locating the body of the late Ardo.

The Governor assured the security forces of government's unwavering support in conducting further investigations to apprehend those responsible for the crime.

Governor Mutfwang reassured of government's commitment to upholding the rule of law in addressing all forms of criminal activities. He urged communities in the state not to resort to self help but to report any criminal acts to security agencies for swift action.

He reiterated his administration's dedication to ensuring fairness and justice for all citizens, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds. 
The Governor expressed his condolences to the late Gabdo's immediate family and the Fulani community in the state. 

He called upon community members, as well as traditional and religious leaders, to collaborate harmoniously with the government and security agencies in order to aid in the fight against criminal activities in the state.

Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed his determination to exhibit the political will required to introduce policies, programs, and engagements that foster peace, progress, and prosperity for the citizens of Plateau.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
