 Dutch referee Rob Dieperink dies weeks after removal from World Cup officiating list Dutch referee Rob Dieperink has died at the age of 38, weeks after FIFA removed him from its list of officials for the World Cup. The Dutch Football Association (KNVB) confirmed his death in a statement, saying it was “shocked and deeply saddened” by the news. His cause of death has not been disclosed. Dieperink was arrested in April by the Metropolitan Police in the United Kingdom following a report of an alleged sexual assault involving a teenage boy in London. A Metropolitan Police spokesperson said officers responded on April 9 to a report of sexual assault at an address in Croydon and arrested a man in his 30s on suspicion of the offence. Police later said that after reviewing available evidence, including CCTV footage and digital devices, the investigation had concluded that “the evidential threshold had not been met” and no further action would be taken. GOVERNOR MUTFWANG COMMENDS OPERATION SAFE HAVEN TROOPS FOR RECOVERING REMAINS OF MISSING COMMUNITY LEADER, CONDEMNS GRUESOME ACT


Following thorough security briefings and diligent investigation, the Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, has acknowledged a significant breakthrough by Operation Safe Haven (OPSH) troops. 

Through credible intelligence, the troops have successfully recovered the remains of the missing Ardo of Panyam, Adamu Idris Gabdo.

In a statement, Governor Mutfwang strongly condemned the heinous act and lauded the perseverance and tenacity of the security personnel. 
He praised their professionalism and determination in locating the body of the late Ardo.

The Governor assured the security forces of government's unwavering support in conducting further investigations to apprehend those responsible for the crime.

Governor Mutfwang reassured of government's commitment to upholding the rule of law in addressing all forms of criminal activities. He urged communities in the state not to resort to self help but to report any criminal acts to security agencies for swift action.

He reiterated his administration's dedication to ensuring fairness and justice for all citizens, regardless of their ethnic or religious backgrounds. 
The Governor expressed his condolences to the late Gabdo's immediate family and the Fulani community in the state. 

He called upon community members, as well as traditional and religious leaders, to collaborate harmoniously with the government and security agencies in order to aid in the fight against criminal activities in the state.

Governor Mutfwang reaffirmed his determination to exhibit the political will required to introduce policies, programs, and engagements that foster peace, progress, and prosperity for the citizens of Plateau.
