 ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED DRUG DEALER, RECOVER ILLICIT DRUGS WORTH ₦5.8 MILLION IN OTUOCHA As CP Nnanna notes that illicit drugs can fuel criminality, charges officers to sustain targeted operations to nip crime in the bud The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old suspected drug dealer, identified as Chinedu Nwankwo, and recovered a large quantity of suspected Cannabis Sativa, Methamphetamine and Colorado (Colos), estimated at ₦5.8 million. The suspect was arrested in the early hours of today, 29th August 2026, by operatives of the Rapid Response Team during an intelligence-driven patrol operation along the Nteje–Otuocha Road. Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect was allegedly conveying the illicit substances to Otuocha, Anyamelium, Nzam, Umuleri and Aguleri areas for delivery to suspected criminal elements. Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner Ilebaye has disclosed that she will change her phone to reflect her new status. 

She said she doesn’t keep friends because of her experience with friendship betrayals.

The 22-year-old, however, said she has people she talks to but haven’t had time to communicate with them since winning the reality show.

Speaking in a recent chat with media personality Hero Daniels, Ilebaye said: “Before going to the Big Brother House, I didn’t have friends. I just have people who I talk to.

“But I didn’t have someone I could call a friend. Because I have had a lot of people betray me in the past. So, I cut off friendship. But I’ve people I talk to.

“However, I haven’t really had time to chat with them since winning the show. I haven’t changed my number. I haven’t gotten in touch with anybody yet. Maybe when I’m done with my media rounds.”

Asked if she is going to change her number, the reality star said, “Yeah, I have to.”
