 Republic of Congo holds presidential election, internet disruption reported Internet connectivity across the Republic of Congo was disrupted on Sunday as voters cast ballots in a presidential election, global internet watchdog NetBlocks said. Network data indicated a nation-scale disruption to internet access, the watchdog said on X. A similar near-total nationwide internet blackout was recorded during the country’s March 2021 presidential election, lasting about three days, according to NetBlocks. Polls opened at 6 am (0500GMT) in the country’s presidential election and will remain open until 6 pm (1700GMT). More than 2.6 million registered voters aged 18 and above are eligible to cast their ballots.  I’ll change my mobile phone number – Ilebaye


Big Brother Naija All-Stars winner Ilebaye has disclosed that she will change her phone to reflect her new status. 

She said she doesn’t keep friends because of her experience with friendship betrayals.

The 22-year-old, however, said she has people she talks to but haven’t had time to communicate with them since winning the reality show.

Speaking in a recent chat with media personality Hero Daniels, Ilebaye said: “Before going to the Big Brother House, I didn’t have friends. I just have people who I talk to.

“But I didn’t have someone I could call a friend. Because I have had a lot of people betray me in the past. So, I cut off friendship. But I’ve people I talk to.

“However, I haven’t really had time to chat with them since winning the show. I haven’t changed my number. I haven’t gotten in touch with anybody yet. Maybe when I’m done with my media rounds.”

Asked if she is going to change her number, the reality star said, “Yeah, I have to.”
