 ANAMBRA POLICE ARREST SUSPECTED DRUG DEALER, RECOVER ILLICIT DRUGS WORTH ₦5.8 MILLION IN OTUOCHA As CP Nnanna notes that illicit drugs can fuel criminality, charges officers to sustain targeted operations to nip crime in the bud The Anambra State Police Command has arrested a 28-year-old suspected drug dealer, identified as Chinedu Nwankwo, and recovered a large quantity of suspected Cannabis Sativa, Methamphetamine and Colorado (Colos), estimated at ₦5.8 million. The suspect was arrested in the early hours of today, 29th August 2026, by operatives of the Rapid Response Team during an intelligence-driven patrol operation along the Nteje–Otuocha Road. Preliminary investigation indicates that the suspect was allegedly conveying the illicit substances to Otuocha, Anyamelium, Nzam, Umuleri and Aguleri areas for delivery to suspected criminal elements. Kenyan authorities arrest fake lawyer who won all 26 cases he handled in court.


Kenyan authorities have arrested a fake lawyer, Brian Mwenda, who has won 26 cases while parading himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya. 


According to reports, the lawyer handled 26 cases before High Court Judges, Magistrates, and Court of Appeal Judges before his arrest, all of which he won. 


He was arrested by the Law Society of Kenya (LSK) Nairobi Branch Rapid Action Team (RAT) for false pretences. 


He was apprehended when the RAT received public complaints. 


Nairobi Branch disclosed on their X account that he is not an advocate and does not have a license to practice law in Kenya. 


“It has been brought to the attention of the LSK Nairobi Branch through the Rapid Action Team (RAT), that the man has been presenting and conducting himself as an Advocate of the High Court of Kenya and a member of LSK Nairobi Branch,” read the notice in part. 


He is being held at the RAT headquarters pending further investigation.
