Yemen fighting pushes nearly 3,000 to Djibouti in less than a week: UN    Nearly 3,000 people have fled Yemen for Djibouti in less than a week as escalating violence drives growing displacement within the country and across its borders, the UN refugee agency said Friday. “Refugees continue to arrive by boat through Obock, Khor Angar, Moulhoule and Godoria after difficult journeys in small vessels,” UNHCR representative in Djibouti Sandrine Desamours told reporters in Geneva, Anadolu Agency reported. More than half of those crossing the Bab el-Mandeb Strait are women and children, while some families have been displaced for a second time after previously fleeing Yemen during the 2015 crisis and later returning. UNHCR is preparing for at least 10,000 new arrivals but warned that capacity is rapidly diminishing.  Nigerian Man Emmanuel Shebbs Celebrates Acquisition of Five different Degrees.


Abia born Emmanuel Shebbs has defended his Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy at the University of Calabar bringing it to a total of Five degrees to his name so far.


In a post on his Facebook page he said “Today, I said my last prayer in the classroom. I stepped into the period of my life which Late Dr Dave Ugwu referred to as ‘Academic Menopause’; I successfully defended my PhD (Doctor of Philosophy Degree) in Public Policy at the prestigious University of Calabar”


“For 13 years, I consistently maintained momentum towards the achievement of five academic honours, Two Bachelors Degrees in Political Science and 

Bachelor of Law LLB, Master Degree  in Public Administration  and

Masters Degree Public Policy

PhD Public Policy


“If God did it for me, He can do it for you” he said.
