 71-year-old landlord arrested for impregnating tenant’s teenage daughter The Ogun State Police Command said it had arrested a septuagenarian landlord, identified simply as Adesina, for allegedly defiling and impregnating his tenant’s 14-year-old girl (name withheld) at Akegbeyale Street in Ifesowapo Akute, Ifo Local Government Area of the state. PUNCH Metro learnt that the residents and other tenants were thrown into a state of shock when the septuagenarian suspect was found on Tuesday, April 9, 2024, having sexual intercourse with the 14-year-old girl at about 10:15 pm in the house bathroom. The minor, according to a police source who was part of the team that arrested the 71-year-old suspect but was not permitted to speak for the command, was said to have made her way to the apartment’s bathroom to take a shower.  Nigerian Man Emmanuel Shebbs Celebrates Acquisition of Five different Degrees.


Abia born Emmanuel Shebbs has defended his Doctor of Philosophy in Public Policy at the University of Calabar bringing it to a total of Five degrees to his name so far.


In a post on his Facebook page he said “Today, I said my last prayer in the classroom. I stepped into the period of my life which Late Dr Dave Ugwu referred to as ‘Academic Menopause’; I successfully defended my PhD (Doctor of Philosophy Degree) in Public Policy at the prestigious University of Calabar”


“For 13 years, I consistently maintained momentum towards the achievement of five academic honours, Two Bachelors Degrees in Political Science and 

Bachelor of Law LLB, Master Degree  in Public Administration  and

Masters Degree Public Policy

PhD Public Policy


“If God did it for me, He can do it for you” he said.

He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. Namtira Bwala has threatened to file a lawsuit against the school authorities if her abusers are not punished within 48 hours. In a letter drafted by her lawyers, Deji Adeyanju and Co, Namtira asked the school authorities to immediately investigate and pronounce the stiffest punishments in the student’s rule book on Ms.Maryam Hassan, Miss Faliya, and nine other students who bullied her.
