  A 23-year-old Nigerian woman identified as Osarugbe, has died in Libya. African beauty products   She passed away at about 11:33am on Friday, April 4, 2025 after battling illness.    Anti-human trafficking advocate, Yakubu Oyiza and her team had been raising money to bring her back to Nigeria for better medical treatment as hospitals in Libya rejected her.    According to Oyiza, documents for burial, autopsy, and land to bury her in Libya have been arranged, all costing approximately 350,000.   She alleged that the family abandoned her since she fell sick and had earlier refused to go to Kano and pick her up the day she was supposed to be brought back to Nigeria.    In a Facebook post on Saturday, April 5, Oyiza revealed that some family members of the deceased called them asking for Osasā€™ properties. NNS Beecroft Hands Over Cannabis Sativa Worth Over N200M To NDLEA 


 The Nigeria Navy ship, NNS Beecroft, has handed over 66 bags of cannabis sativa valued at Two Hundred Million to the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) in Lagos.


The Commander NNS BEECROFT Commodore Kolawole Oguntuga, made this known while handing over the substance to the agency.


Comodore Oguntuga said the substance was seized on different occasions around Iworo, Ibeju, and the Badagry area of Lagos State, with an estimated market value of N200 million. 


It comprises 66 bags, each weighing 40kg, containing a substance suspected to be cannabis sativa.


Commodore Oguntuga said the suspects abandoned the substance that would have been smuggled into the state and fled when they sighted his men.


The Commander NNS Beecroft assured that the Nigerian Navy remained resolute at fighting crime.


Commodore Oguntuga pointed out that the arrested products are being brought in from neighboring countries, warning anyone that is interested in bringing drugs or illegal consignment into Nigeria, to have a rethink because the current leadership of the Nigerian Navy, Vice Admiral Emmanuel Ogalla, will resist such with modern surveillance equipments and total punishment of the culprits


On his part, representative of the NDLEA, Commander Narcotics, of the marine Mr Paul Ahom commended the NNS Beecroft for the good job by consistently alerting them of such exhibits .


.Mr Ahom noted that the NDLEA had to collaborate with the Nigerian Navy as they cannot handle it alone, stressing that recently, NNS Beecroft has complemented the efforts of the NDLEA.


Comodore Oguntuga  warned those perpetrating crime in NNS BEECROFT area of responsibility to desist or face the wrath of the law as the Nigerian Navy would continue to collaborate with other security agencies within its Area of responsibility to protect the territorial integrity of the country, through the south western border
