 Kaduna Revenue Service Cracks Down On Businesses Over Unpaid Taxes, Seals Liberty Radio/TV, Millennium Hotels, Others In a bid to bolster revenue collections and ensure tax compliance, the Kaduna State Internal Revenue Service has taken decisive action against several businesses with significant tax arrears. The crackdown saw the sealing of various business premises across the state. Among the establishments affected are Liberty Radio/TV, Martaba Millennium Hotels, and others, which were found to have substantial unpaid taxes.  The sealed premises include Admiralty Naval Suites, Bijo Surgical & Scientific Limited, Zedvance Finance Limited, Big City Event Centre, Deluxe Suites, TXTLight Power Solution, Lek Dental & Maxillo Facial Hospital, Martaba Millennium Hotel, Azaka, and Enyo Filling Station. Each of these businesses was cited for its respective tax liabilities, ranging from thousands to millions of Naira. More photos below.

 Over 100 Stranded Nigerians Return From Niger Republic 


Federal Government has facilitated the reception of 108 Nigerian migrants who were stranded in Niger Republic. 


In a statement by the 

Southwest Zonal Coordinator 

National Commission for Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons Mr. Alexander Oturu says their humanitarian return was facilitated by the Nigerian mission in Niamey and the International Organization for Migration (IOM). 


The reception exercise took place at the Cargo terminal of the Murtala Mohamed International Airport, in Lagos Nigeria. 


Representing the Federal Commissioner of the National Commission For Refugees Migrants and Internally Displaced Persons (NCFRMI), Mr. Aliyu Tijani Ahmed,  the Southwest Zonal Coordinator, Mr. Alexander Oturu, stated that in line with Mr. President's Renewed Hope Agenda, the returnees would be integrated into various government programmes, as well as the reintegration programmes of the UN Migration Agency, IOM. 


The migrants were  conveyed to the Lagos State Emergency Management Agency, camp where the NCFRMI and IOM have a tripartite agreement to provide temporary shelter for the returnees before they are provided with onward transportation allowance to enable them get to their final destination. 


According to Mr. Oturu, there were 32 males, 29 females, 44 children and 3 infants on board the IOM chartered flight from Niger. 


Officers from the NCFRMI and the Nigerian Immigration Service (NIS) profiled the migrants and officers from Port Health, FAAN, Federal Ministry of Labour (Migrants Resource Centre), National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA), Lagos State Emergency Management Agency (LASEMA), Child Protection Network and Web of Hearts Foundation were also in attendance to provide assistance.
