The Zamfara State Police Command has paraded suspected killers of Hamisu Danjibga, VON correspondent in Zamfara state who was brutally killed.

Commissioner of Police, CP Muhammad Shehu Dalijan who paraded the suspects at the Command's headquarters in Gusau said, all the property looted from the house of the deceased were also recovered.

According to him, police have been working round the clock to ensure they brought the perpetrators to book since the time they received the report about the incident, which they succeeded.

CP Dalijan who also paraded others suspects for various offenses ranging from banditry, kidnapping, rape and abating banditry said Danjibga's nephew confessed to the crime of killing his uncle.

In his confessional statement, a Nephew to Dangibga, Mansur Haruna said they were at loggerheads with his uncle over his ambition to join the Nigerian Army or Police force which Danjibga refused to facilitate due to his questionable characters that he can't stand as his guarantor.

Mansur Hamisu narrated that they had a meeting at his friend's room (Ibrahim) just behind the Danjibga's house where they concluded to kidnap the veteran Journalist who on the process resisted, Mansur stabbed him three times on his stomach while Ibrahim cut him with cutlass on his head two times and he eventually died.

He noted that they quickly decided to put the corpse in a soakaway cover and cemented it because it was too heavy for them to take it to a bush and bury.

Mansur Hamisu however said he regretted their action adding that whatever justice decides on him he will accept it.

Items recovered the killers include late Danjibga's Phones, External hard disk, electric kettle, and other valuables while 2 AK47 rifles, ammunition, phones and other items were recovered from the suspected Bandits
