  President Bola Tinubu has identified the creative economy as a pivotal element of his administration’s economic diversification agenda, reaffirming his commitment to positioning Nigeria’s creative sector as a driving force for global influence. The President stated this at the launch of the 2024 Abuja International Carnival at Eagle Square, Abuja. President Tinubu, represented by Vice-President Kashim Shettima, said the carnival reaffirms the essence of who Nigerians are—”a people of culture, a people of art, a people of colour, and a people of shared values”. Police Launches Investigation into Borno Commissioner’s Death

Borno State police command has commence immediate investigation into the death of the state commissioner for Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement RRR, Ibrahim Garba.

In a statement, spokesman of the Governor Malam Isa Gusau confirm that Commissioner of Police Yusuf Lawan personnally visited the house where the late Commissioner died in Borno.

The statement adds that Governor Babagana Zulum received the news of his demise with intense shock and profound grief. 

The Governor mourns alongside the late commissioner’s family, other loved ones, friends, associates, and members of the state executive council. 

Late Ibrahim Garba was the Governor’s Special Adviser on Special Projects before he was appointed commissioner of Reconstruction, Rehabilitation and Resettlement in August this  year.
