  The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) has voiced deep sorrow over the recent wave of terrifying attacks by terror groups on defenseless communities in Plateau State, which claimed numerous lives, including those of children, in a tragic escalation of violence. In a statement issued by its National Publicity Secretary, Tukur Muhammad-Baba, the ACF called on the Federal Government to fulfill its constitutional duty to safeguard the lives and property of Nigerians. The forum stressed the urgent need to halt the recurring attacks and killings not only in Plateau State but also across the Northern region and other parts of the country. The ACF urged the government to declare a state of security emergency in vulnerable, banditry-plagued areas and to implement robust early-warning and early-response mechanisms, involving local community members to prevent further bloodshed. Pray to God to reveal Tinubu’s genuine certificate – Shehu Sani to Supreme Court judges

Former lawmaker Shehu Sani has told the judges of the Supreme Court to fast and pray to seek the face of God concerning the conflicting nature of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s certificate.

The apex court said on Monday that there are conflicting letters from Chicago State University (CSU) on Tinubu’s certificate.

Justice John Okoro, chairman of the seven-member panel hearing the application Atiku Abubakar filed against the victory of President Bola Tinubu, stated this on Monday.

Speaking at the hearing on Monday, Justice Okoro said criminal matters have to be proved beyond reasonable doubt.

“But in this case, there are two conflicting letters from the CSU—one authenticating the president’s certificate and another discrediting it. Which do we rely on?” he asked.

Reacting to this, Sani, who served as the Senator representing Kaduna Central at the Red Chamber, said the situation calls for spiritual attention.

“If the Supreme Court received two conflicting letters from Chicago, the best thing for them is to go into fasting for three days; on the third day, God will show them the genuine one in a dream. We are a prayerful nation,” he wrote on X.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
