 NDC STATEMENT ON COURT RULING Our attention has been drawn to a ruling by the Federal High Court sitting in Lokoja this morning, wherein His Lordship, Honourable Justice Isah Dashen, gave a ruling on an application filed by an unregistered association known as Peace Movement Party. The public knows that by December 2025, the Nigeria Democratic Congress  as an association complained of INEC’s refusal to register us as a political party, whereupon we proceeded to the Federal High Court. The Federal High Court upheld our constitutional right to freedom of association under the Constitution and compelled INEC to register us, which INEC did. Since then, we have started political activities, embarked on the registration of members, held congresses from ward to national levels, held conventions, and concluded primaries to all offices following INEC’s timetable. Pray to God to reveal Tinubu’s genuine certificate – Shehu Sani to Supreme Court judges

Former lawmaker Shehu Sani has told the judges of the Supreme Court to fast and pray to seek the face of God concerning the conflicting nature of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s certificate.

The apex court said on Monday that there are conflicting letters from Chicago State University (CSU) on Tinubu’s certificate.

Justice John Okoro, chairman of the seven-member panel hearing the application Atiku Abubakar filed against the victory of President Bola Tinubu, stated this on Monday.

Speaking at the hearing on Monday, Justice Okoro said criminal matters have to be proved beyond reasonable doubt.

“But in this case, there are two conflicting letters from the CSU—one authenticating the president’s certificate and another discrediting it. Which do we rely on?” he asked.

Reacting to this, Sani, who served as the Senator representing Kaduna Central at the Red Chamber, said the situation calls for spiritual attention.

“If the Supreme Court received two conflicting letters from Chicago, the best thing for them is to go into fasting for three days; on the third day, God will show them the genuine one in a dream. We are a prayerful nation,” he wrote on X.
