 Rep. John Larson files impeachment articles against Trump over Iran war threats     Rep. John Larson announced Tuesday that he has filed articles of impeachment against President Trump, citing the president’s recent social media post threatening to destroy a “whole civilization” if the Strait of Hormuz was not immediately reopened. Larson said Trump’s actions in the ongoing war in Iran are illegal and endangering American lives and the economy. The filing comes after Trump temporarily paused the strikes for two weeks following Pakistan’s request for an extended deadline to allow diplomatic efforts. Larson criticized Trump’s remarks, including his Easter Sunday post, as increasingly unstable and a threat to U.S. security. Seventy Democrats, including former House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, Sen. Senate swears in Yohanna to replace Elisha Abbo

The Senate on Wednesday, Oct. 25, swore in Amos Yohanna as the new Senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District.

The swearing-in was performed by the Deputy Senate President, Jibrin Barau, who presided over the plenary.

Yohanna, a member of the Peoples Democratic Party replaces Abbo, who was sacked by the Appeal Court last week Monday..

The Court of Appeal, Abuja had sacked Abbo, a member of the All Progressives Congress.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
