 Russia launches massive drone and missile barrage on Ukraine, killing at least 18 civilians and striking Kyiv and multiple cities  Russia carried out a large-scale overnight assault on Ukraine, launching hundreds of drones and dozens of missiles that killed at least 18 civilians and wounded more than 100 others across multiple cities, officials said Tuesday. The strikes hit Kyiv, Dnipro and other regions, with emergency crews working through destroyed residential buildings where some victims were trapped under rubble. In Dnipro, rescuers recovered the bodies of a 3-year-old child and a mother and her 8-year-old son, while officials reported 12 deaths in the city and six in Kyiv. The bombardment stretched from night into daylight, with explosions reported across wide areas of the country.  Supreme Court judgement: Atiku to speak on national issues Monday


Baring any last minute change in plans, the presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, Atiku Abubakar, with address a world press conference on Monday, 30th October.


Atiku’s address will border on some crucial national issues.


This was disclosed in a statement by the PDP Publicity Office on Saturday.


The statement read, “The presidential candidate of our great party, the PDP, in the February 25, 2023, presidential election and former Vice President of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Atiku Abubakar, GCON, Wazirin Adamawa, will address a crucial press conference on issues of serious importance to the nation.


“Date: Monday, October 30, 2023. Venue: PDP National Secretariat, Wadata Plaza, Abuja. Time: 11 am Prompt.”


The planned world press conference was announced about 48 hours after the Supreme Court dismissed Atiku’s appeal against President Bola Tinubu’s victory in the February 25 presidential election.
