McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. Two Nigerian women arrested with drugs worth N63m in India

Two Nigerian women, Adaeze Jaye, 43, and Success Chamika, 23, have been arrested with drugs worth over N63m in Rajasthan, India.
 
Pushkar police arrested the two women with a total of 65 grams of Mephedrone (MD) and a cash of Rs 65,000 cash late on Friday, October 27, 2023. 

Police in a statement on Saturday, said Rs 65,000 cash, and a digital wave machine were also seized from the accused.

The value of the seized drugs has been estimated to be approximately Rs 6 lakh, the police said. 

Police station in-charge, Rakesh Yadav said police have registered a case against both under the NDPS Act and started investigation. 

The higher officials and the control room have been informed, Yadav added.
