 VANDAL CRUSHED TO DEATH UNDER COLLAPSED TRANSMISSION TOWER IN DELTA STATE A suspected vandal has been crushed to death under a collapsed vandalised  transmission tower along the 330kV Ughelli-Benin transmission line in Delta State. The incident was discovered during a line patrol carried out by the Delta Sub-Region, Lines Maintenance Department of the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), following the tripping of the line on earth fault on the Ughelli - Benin 330kV Transmission line. A statement by the TCN indicates that the patrol team traced the fault to Tower 101, which had collapsed. The body of the suspected vandal was found crushed between the tower members. Tower 101 on the adjacent Ughelli - Sapele 330kV  transmission line had also been vandalized.

Groom kills 4 People During Wedding, Including His Bride


A Thai para-athlete and former soldier shot his bride and three others before killing himself on his wedding day.


Chaturong Suksuk, 29 and Kanchana Pachunthuek, 44, were married over the weekend in north-east Thailand.


According to reports, he left the wedding party abruptly and returned with a gun, shooting his wife, her 62-year-old mother and 38-year-old sister.


Stray bullets hit two guests, who were taken to hospital. One of them died.


Police said, Chaturong "was quite intoxicated at the time", but his motive remains unclear. He had bought the gun and ammunition legally last year.


Thai media, citing what guests at the party told the police, said the couple had an argument during the party. It also reported that Chaturong had felt insecure about the age gap between him and Kanchana.


But police said this was still speculation, adding that they had collected evidence and expected to close the case "soon".


Chaturong and Kanchana had lived together for three years before they married, according to Thai media.
