 A Limpopo man who stabbed his girlfriend to death in front of his own mother will spend the next 20 years in prison. The Polokwane High Court sentenced 48 year old Nathaniel Molatelo Mokgehle from Sekonye Village in the Botlokwa policing area for the murder of his girlfriend, 41 year old Mokgadi Julia Mohlaela. The court heard he chased her out of the house and continued stabbing her until she collapsed and died. Mokgehle also received six months for malicious damage to property. The sentence will run at the same time as the 20 year murder sentence. Evidence presented in court showed the victim had previously opened a malicious damage to property case against him. He was still attending court for that case when the murder happened. The attack happened on 08 June 2025 around 16:00 at his mother’s home in Sekonye Village. Actor Lateef Adedimeji bags PhD from International University

Popular Nollywood actor, Lateef Adedimeji, joyously shared on social media the conferment of a Doctorate degree on him from an international university.

Adedimeji is to be honoured with a Doctor of Philosophy degree from Estam University, in recognition of his outstanding talent and remarkable accomplishments in the film industry.
After receiving the degree, Lateef expressed that his focus had always been on finding happiness in his craft rather than seeking fame.
Reflecting on the irony of the long nights spent mastering his lines and perfecting his expression, he expressed gratitude for being rewarded with a Ph.D.
Reintroducing himself as Dr. Abdul Lateef Adedimeji Adetola, he shared the emotional moment of being adorned with the academic robe, revealing that it brought tears to his eyes.
He wrote: “I was moved to tears as I got adorned in this beautiful robe. I have never been interested in fame, I just wanted to be happy with my craft and the lives that I inspire.
“Ladies and gentlemen, today, I have a new title, one I couldn’t have imagined would come without me facing invigilators and keeping late nights to study…
“The irony is really interesting. I burn midnight candles to master my lines and perfect my expressions, now I’m getting rewarded with what could have been if I did it for classroom reasons.
“I humbly reintroduce myself, I AM DR. ABDULLATEEF ADEDIMEJI ADETOLA, Doctor of Philosophy in Art and Culture from Estam University, Benin.”
