Anambra State Women and Social Welfare Commissioner Honourable Ify Obinabo has rescued three children forcefully taken away from mother for three months and reunited them.

This came after Mrs Amaka Ojukwu from Oraifite lodged a complaint against the husband Benson Ojukwu alleging that after he beat her up, he took the kids and handed over to his mother Eunice Ojukwu to look after.

Mrs Ojukwu noted that two of her children got scholarships at different schools which she has earlier started their registration process but could not continue because they were taken away from her and ever since then hasn't been to school.

Reacting the Women Affairs boss Hon Obinabo represented by her Special Assistant Mrs Blessing Nweke urged women to stop being enablers of all form of Sexual and Gender Based Violence against their fellow women but rather support their own and make the society a better place.

The rescue was done through the Children’s mopol of Oraifite Mrs Monica who retrieved the children from the grandmother on the instructions of the honourable commissioner.
