The Orumba-North All Progressives Grand Alliance(APGA) political party has  inaugurated the new local government party  executive and the ward chairmen of various communities in the area.

Speaking at the event at Ajalli the Chief of staff, Anambra State government, Mr Ernest Ezeajughi, said the party's inauguration ceremony started at the national, state and  now to the  local government level, Stressing that with the current national chairman of the party, Mr Sly Ezeokenwa there is no more division in APGA.

"We have done the inauguration ceremony at the national and state level and today it is being done  at the local government level. I am very proud that APGA is at the helm of affairs of the state. I thank everyone for working hard in making our party a success.

"My appreciation also goes to our governor, Prof. Charles Soludo CFR, who is the leader of the party. He is a leader with a difference who is determined to give Ndi Anambra the dividends of democracy. He works not less than sixteen hours a day to ensure that all his dreams and visions for the state are achieved.

"This is a transformational government. Prof. Soludo prepared himself very well before taking over the mantle of leadership as the governor of the state. His visions are contained in his manifesto contract with ndi Anambra, and his administration anchored on five major pillars of development which include; (1) Security, law and order (2) Infrastructural and economic transformation (3) Human capital development (4) Accountability, transparency and due process (5) Environment.

"As a party, we must strive to  make Anambra State a liveable and prosperous state. This is the foundation we are building on," he stated.

Mr Ezeajughi while enumerating the achievements of the Soludo administration, disclosed the state government plans to renovate and give all public schools and primary health centers a face lift in the next six months.

According to him, "Refurbishing of all public schools in the state will commence by next six months, as over two hundred public schools will go into ASUBEB Refurbishment list. Also, the government is about to give award of contracts for renovation and equipping of primary health centers located in all the three hundred and twenty six(326) wards in the state. I implore all the party ward chairmen to monitor and supervise the work and activities of the contractors to ensure quality delivery of projects."

"We are coming out with so many initiatives that will better the lives of ndi Anambra and we must deliver the best to the people. We must also give our children the best to help them be the leaders of tomorrow. Good governance is also very key and critical to this administration. Therefore, let us all take this message home to the grassroots and our various communities," he added.

The Chief of Staff also called on ndi Anambra to protect and stop littering the environment, as environment is existential threat in the state.

"We are encouraging everyone to look out for the environment. In Anambra State. Environment is an existential threat. In fact, Orumba North local government area, is the headquarters of erosion in the world as its communities are largely affected by the menace of erosion.

"The government is spending so much money to combat the menace of erosion and other natural disaster hazards in the state. In the central and southern part of the state, we have erosion while in the northern part, we have flooding.

"We have spent so much money in desilting almost all the drainages in the state. Soon, the State House of Assembly will pass a bill for every household to construct encatchment pits to stop rain water from causing havoc on our roads and environment," he said.

He also noted that before May 2024, the Ajalli-Ufuma-Ogbunka road will be completed and ready for use, as Anambra State has gone in a circle due to good network of roads.

"The government is working very hard and  tirelessly. There is now good network of roads in the state. In only nineteen(19) months, we are almost at 380 kilometers of roads and the roads are constructed with good and quality standards. This has never been achieved in any administration and no other party can achieve it as well.

"Gov. Soludo has also done so much in the agricultural sector by distributing and empowering people with palm tree, breadfruit and coconut seedlings which will help them to be economically empowered and financially independent in no distant time and also protect the environment. By 2024, we hope to distribute about one million farm seedlings for the next three years."
