 Somali World Cup Referee Denied Entry to United States Award-winning Somali referee, Omar Artan, has been denied entry into the United States despite holding a valid visa, according to a senior official in Somalia’s sports ministry. Artan, who is set to become the first Somali referee to officiate at the FIFA World Cup finals, was stopped at Miami International Airport and subsequently returned to Istanbul, where he had been residing. The reason for the denial was not immediately disclosed. However, Somalia is among the countries affected by a travel ban introduced by the administration of Donald Trump. Reacting to the development, Ciise Aden Abshir, a senior adviser to Somalia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports and a former national team captain, described Artan as one of Africa’s most respected referees. “Omar Artan is among Africa’s most respected referees and deserves the support of the entire football community,” Abshir told AFP on Monday. AY Makun, Mabel celebrates 15th wedding anniversary, 20 years of togetherness with heartfelt note

Nigerian actor, comedian, Ayodeji Richard Makun, better known as A.Y and wife, Mabel, celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary and 20 years of togetherness.

He made this known in a post on his Instagram page on Wedesday.

In the post, which has garnered attention, the comedian reminisced about their struggles, beautiful moments, and experiences that have shaped their love life.

He wrote, "It's been 20 amazing years of knowing each other, 15 years of marital hustle and bustle, occasional sweetness and bitterness, pains, and gains.

We thank God for the unconditional love and grace that has kept us standing and counting all these years of celebration.
In this our first 15-year anniversary. I wish us both more love, strength, patience, tolerance, and happiness to be able to celebrate many more 15-year anniversaries together. I LOVE YOU, #realmabelmakun
