McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. Self acclaimed relationship therapist and blogger, Blessing Okoro, better known as, Blessing CEO, in his Facebook handle, "Blessing CEO", attacked Benin women in his online beef with another blogger, verydarkblackman. Says, It is very very rare before you'll see a responsible Benin mother that can train her child 


She says in a video, "Any Benin person like money. Benin people na them they tear eyes. them dey tear eyes very early. If you be Benin person, once you're 14 to 15 years, you go start to dey waka, your ma-ma go dey tell you say, your mates done start to they Waka waka..It is very very rare before you will see a responsible Benin mother that can train her child. For Benin, wetin them carry know Be-nin people na Ashawooo, that's the truth. Very rare before you see a very decent Benin girl, wey mama train. once you're 14-15 years old, in Benin. your mama don send you go Libya go start Ashawooh. It has been since 1960. I'm not lying, that's the truth. That's what they know Benin people for. If you go to Italy, Europe, na Benin people full there naa, small small girls, 16  to 17years, you don start Ashawoo. Verydarkblackman, go and liberate your people, since you do Ashawoo and Ashawoo no work, go back to Be-nin and liberate them, go and help those young girls. 


The video generated so much mixed reactions and, Blessing, did another video, to offer indirect apology by using the word, "some Benin women".
