Boko Haram Beheads 11 Loggers in Brutal Ambush in Borno State

In a horrifying incident on Monday near Bale village in Damboa LGA, suspected Boko Haram members riding camels ambushed and beheaded 11 local wood loggers.

The victims, who were working at their charcoal site, faced a merciless attack, with six bodies found dismembered at the scene around 5 pm.

A vigilant source from the area, part of the local vigilante group, disclosed that the attackers ignored pleas for mercy and killed six loggers instantly. The group also revealed that they discovered 15 camel footprints, indicating the assailants’ mode of transportation.

While some loggers managed to escape, the fate of five others remains unknown. The vigilantes, in collaboration with soldiers, are actively searching the area. The recovered bodies have been laid to rest following Islamic rites.

This incident underscores the ongoing threat posed by Boko Haram in the region, prompting increased security measures and efforts to safeguard vulnerable communities.
