 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. Cherubim and Seraphim church leader, Baba Aladura, dies at 103.


Spiritual Father and Chairman, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, is dead.


The spiritual leader popularly called Baba Aladura died on Sunday morning, Nov. 12, at about 10:00 am in his Ilorin home, the Kwara state capital.


He was 103 years old.


The Secretariat of the church headed by the Secretary-General, Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun, confirmed the development.


Special Apostle Odetundun said that the late spiritual father had his breakfast and was almost dressing up to prepare for service when he said that he wanted to rest for a while.


“He passed on peacefully, thereafter”, he said, adding that burial arrangements would be announced later.


It was also gathered that the remains of the spiritual leader had been taken to a mortuary in the state capital.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
