 NAFDAC Reopens Onitsha Drug Market After Month-Long Closure The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) has reopened the Onitsha Head Bridge drug market, popularly known as 'Ogbo Ogwu', after a month-long closure for sanitization and regulatory enforcement. The market was shut down as part of NAFDAC's nationwide clampdown on fake and substandard medicines. To prevent a recurrence of the issues that led to the closure, NAFDAC has implemented strict administrative conditions for reopening. Shop owners are required to complete documentation and clearance procedures before their shops can be unsealed. A dedicated NAFDAC desk has been established to facilitate the process efficiently, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.² According to NAFDAC Director-General, Prof. Mojisola Adeyeye, only shops that meet the conditions will be allowed to resume operations. Cherubim and Seraphim church leader, Baba Aladura, dies at 103.


Spiritual Father and Chairman, Cherubim and Seraphim Movement Church Worldwide, Prophet Samuel Adefila Abidoye, is dead.


The spiritual leader popularly called Baba Aladura died on Sunday morning, Nov. 12, at about 10:00 am in his Ilorin home, the Kwara state capital.


He was 103 years old.


The Secretariat of the church headed by the Secretary-General, Special Apostle Ademola Odetundun, confirmed the development.


Special Apostle Odetundun said that the late spiritual father had his breakfast and was almost dressing up to prepare for service when he said that he wanted to rest for a while.


“He passed on peacefully, thereafter”, he said, adding that burial arrangements would be announced later.


It was also gathered that the remains of the spiritual leader had been taken to a mortuary in the state capital.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
