 NEMA COORDINATES SAR OPS AT THE SCENE OF BUILDING COLLAPSE INVOLVING A THREE STOREY BUILDING UNDER CONSTRUCTION AT GUDU AREA OF FCT At about 0945hrs on Saturday 16th May, 2026, the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) was alerted of a building collapse at Gudu District of FCT.  Critical stakeholders including Federal Fire, FCT Fire, NSCDC, NPF, FRSC and Federal Capital Territory Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) were activated while a response team of NEMA from the Abuja Operations Office led by the Head of Operations Mr Zakari Abubakar  and operatives from AYA Emergency Response Bay (ERAB) were deployed to the scene for quick response and coordination.  A reinforcement team  from NEMA Headquarters led by the Director Search and Response (DSAR) Air Cdre Bature Usman was also on ground to provide necessary backup and supervision. ‘Day I told my husband I don’t want to outshine him’ – Toyosi

Media personality and movie producer, Toyosi Etim-Effiong, has recounted her husband’s reaction when she opened up to him, saying that she doesn’t want to “outshine” him.
She said that being aware of her massive potential, she was bothered that she could outshine her actor husband but he encouraged her when she finally summoned the courage to open up to him about her worries.
She said her husband’s response “felt like an impartation,” stressing that he urged her to feel free to do exploits.
Mrs Etim-Effiong disclosed this in a lengthy Instagram post celebrating their wedding anniversary.
The content producer said “the burden was lifted” after her husband’s permission.
“I felt emboldened and encouraged. I had the full support of the most important person in my life and it was liberating! I began to make preparations to take flight. A little while later, I did. I took flight and I’m still ascending,” she wrote.
DAILY POST recalls that the couple got married on November 4, 2017. They welcomed their first child, a baby girl, in January 2019.
