 Shehu Sani Accuses Past Administration Of Auctioning L.E.A Primary School In Kaduna To Build Showroom, Backs Gov Uba Sani's Halt On Sale Of School Lands Former lawmaker representing Kaduna Central senatorial district, Senator Shehu Sani, has backed Governor Uba Sani’s revocation of sales of houses within the legacy public schools in Kaduna State. Shehu Sani stated that the previous administration auctioned a whole L.E.A primary school inside Kaduna to a businessman to build his showroom. Recall that Kaduna State governor, Uba Sani, had revoked previous sales of institutional houses and land allocations within Alhuda-huda College, Zaria, Queen Amina College, Kaduna and Government Commercial College, Zaria. EFCC Arrests 14 Suspected Vote Buyers in Imo, Bayelsa, Kogi States

 …. Intercepts N11,040,000

 

Operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC, have arrested 14 (Fourteen) suspected vote buyers in Otueke, Adawari playgrounds in Bayelsa State and at various polling units in Imo and Kogi States.

They were arrested on Saturday, November 11, 2023 in  intelligence-driven operations  that commenced several days before the ongoing governorship elections in the three states.


Also,  a total sum of N11,040, 000( Eleven Million, Forty Thousand Naira only) comprising N9,310,00( Nine Million, Three Hundred and Ten Thousand Naira) intercepted from suspected vote buyers and sellers in Bayelsa and N1,730, 000( One Million, Seven Hundred and Thirty Thousand Naira) intercepted from electoral fraud suspects across Imo State, were also recovered from them. 

 

Also, two vehicles were  intercepted from the suspects.

 

They will be charged to court as soon as investigations are concluded.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
