 Air Peace Suspends Enugu Flights, Redirects Operations to Asaba Over Runway Safety Concerns Air Peace has announced the immediate suspension of all flights to Akanu Ibiam International Airport in Enugu, citing severe safety concerns due to the deteriorating condition of the airport’s runway. The airline made the announcement in a statement on Saturday, stating that operations to and from Enugu will be diverted to Asaba, Delta State, until further notice. The airline highlighted ongoing disruptions caused by the poor state of the runway, describing the situation as unmanageable and urging the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) to urgently address the issue. “At Air Peace, we prioritise safety over convenience. Suspending flights to Enugu will allow FAAN the opportunity to carry out necessary runway repairs,” the statement read. “I helped this woman fix her Lexus 570 at Oshodi around 9:00pm when it broke down , I saw loads of money in the car but when I finished she never gave me a dime. She only collected my number. Two weeks later she called me and invited me to an apartment in banana island , she lives alone, very rich. I stayed for a week and when I was going she wired 5 million naira into my access bank account and promised me a car in two days . I am still shocked, this is the car” he said.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
