 The credibility of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) voters’ register has come under intense scrutiny ahead of the 2027 general elections, following revelations by INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan that names of deceased persons remain on the register. Amupitan disclosed that names of voters who died as far back as 15 years ago are still listed, a situation critics say could undermine the integrity of the 2027 polls and lead to significant financial waste through the printing of excess ballot papers and other election logistics. Famous Nigerian skit maker, Brain Jotter, opens up about his humble beginnings, and how he earned a stipend salary while doing menial jobs.

During a conversation with Big Brother Naija star Kim Oprah, Brain Jotter disclosed that he used to sell bedbug killers.

Before gaining admission to the University of Lagos in 2020, he worked as a laundry employee to make ends meet, earning a N15,000 salary at the time.

The following year, when he transitioned to selling bedbug killers, his income doubled to N30,000, marking the highest amount he earned before his skits gained widespread popularity.

His grass-to-grace story has since sparked inspirational reactions from social media users who applauded his consistency over the years.
