 SANWO-OLU CELEBRATES EX-FIRST LADY, ABIMBOLA FASHOLA AT 60   Lagos State Governor, Mr Babajide Sanwo-Olu, has congratulated the former First Lady, Dame Abimbola Fashola, on her 60th birthday, describing her as an Amazon, a selfless giver and an experienced administrator.   He said Abimbola, wife of former Governor of Lagos State and ex-Minister of Works and Housing, Mr Babatunde Raji Fashola (SAN), who clocks 60 on Sunday, is beacon of hope, positive energy and development, which she deployed in great proportions towards her pet projects during her tenure as First Lady. I WON’T RUN AGAINST TINUBU IN 2027- WIKE.(PHOTO).

I won’t run against Tinubu in 2027 – Wike.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, has said that he will not be contesting against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. 

Expressing his commitment to the success of Tinubu’s administration during an interview on Friday, November 24, Wike stated that having worked for the emergence of Tinubu as president, and having been made minister of FCT, nothing would make him contest against the president in 2027.

He said; 

“Tinubu made me the FCT minister and I won’t allow anybody to crumble our political structure. No!

“Tinubu made me minister, poeple don’t understand, I have character. What will happen in 2027? I stood and I said I’m not going to support injustice. I was threatened and some poeple said they will do me this and that. They tried many options including using major Generals.”

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
