McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. I won’t run against Tinubu in 2027 – Wike.

Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Barrister Nyesom Wike, has said that he will not be contesting against President Bola Tinubu in the 2027 presidential election. 

Expressing his commitment to the success of Tinubu’s administration during an interview on Friday, November 24, Wike stated that having worked for the emergence of Tinubu as president, and having been made minister of FCT, nothing would make him contest against the president in 2027.

He said; 

“Tinubu made me the FCT minister and I won’t allow anybody to crumble our political structure. No!

“Tinubu made me minister, poeple don’t understand, I have character. What will happen in 2027? I stood and I said I’m not going to support injustice. I was threatened and some poeple said they will do me this and that. They tried many options including using major Generals.”
