Idemili North LGA Is Peaceful, TC Chairman Tells Corps Members

By Chiedu Uche Okoye

The Idemili North Transition Committee Chairman (TCC), Chief Chuksbrown Igboanua, had told corps members posted to Idemili North LGA that the area is safe and peaceful.

He made the remark at the Idemili North LGA Headquarters during his brief interaction with Batch C corps members, who were posted to towns in Idemili North LGA for their National Youths' Service Corps Primary Assignment.

The newly-posted Batch C corps members were among those who completed their three-week orientation programme at Umuawulu Orientation Camp, Mbaukwu, Awka South.

Chief Igboanua assured them of their safety as the security challenges bedeviling Idemili North LGA had been tackled.

He, however, counselled them to avoid living flamboyant lifestyles so as not to attract the attention of criminal elements in the area.

He illustrated and drove home his point by citing the adage, which stated that the River Niger would drown only those who took a dip in it.

The Batch C Corpers' Liasion Officer (CLO) for Idemili North LGA, Emmanuel Okwor, thanked the TC Chairman for Idemili North LGA, Chief Igboanua, for his invaluable words of advice.

Okwor gave him the assurance that they would conduct themselves with civility while carrying out their primary assignments in the towns to which they are posted.
