 NUT Protest : Wike Warns Against Politicising Insecurity The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, has warned against politicising insecurity amid protests by the Nigeria Union of Teachers, FCT wing, over the killing and abduction of school staff and children in Oyo State. Teachers stormed the FCTA Secretariat in Abuja to condemn the killing of Michael Oyedokun and to demand the release of abducted pupils and teachers from Community High School, Ahoro-Esinle in Oriire Local Government Area. The FCT minister addressed the protesters on Tuesday, saying the federal government is on its toes working to secure the rescue of the schoolchildren and their teachers. Wike urged protesters to avoid turning the tragedy into a political issue and to give security efforts time to produce results. JUSUN declares indefinite strike in Osun

The Judiciary Staff Union of Nigeria, JUSUN, Osun State Chapter has embarked on an indefinite industrial action with immediate effect.
The strike was declared on Wednesday by the chairman of JUSUN in the state, Oluwagbenga Olakunle Eludire.
The strike is coming on the heels of the protest on Monday and Tuesday by Osun JUSUN over the allegations of maladministration against the embattled Osun Chief Judge, Justice Oyebola Adepele Ojo.
The JUSUN members also accused her of unduly persecuting some members of staff and denying them entitlements ranging from restoration of training exercises, arrears of wardrobe allowances from 2021 to 2023and reinstatement of judiciary staff in the state suspended by Justice Adepele Ojo.
“Regularisation and promotion exercise without further delay should be effected.
“Also other benefits that members of JUSUN are entitled to should be effected without further delays.”
Eludire directed all Judiciary workers in the state to stay away from the courts and their offices and withdraw their services.
