 South Africa accuses Israel of defying UN court’s orders on Gaza South Africa formally accused Israel of failing to adhere to three legally binding orders from the International Court of Justice (ICJ), submitting an evidence dossier to the world body, the Department of International Relations and Cooperation announced, Anadolu Agency reported. “Regrettably, Israel has not complied with the Orders,” Pretoria stated in a filing Tuesday, asserting that it will continue to pursue “all avenues available” to ensure Tel Aviv’s full and immediate adherence to the Genocide Convention. Married man arrested for defiling 2-year-old girl, blames alcohol.


The police in Adamawa state has arrested a 30 -year-old man, Buguwa Kwaji, for defiling a 2-year-old girl, wh blaming alcohol for the crime. 


Kwaji was apprehended by the Adamawa State Police Command on the 12 November, 2023 following a tip off.


Buguwa, who resides at Aljannaru village in Song LGA where he perpetrated the crime, confessed to defiling the minor, saying he was under the influence of alcohol.


“After drinking a gin known as voltage on that fateful day, I lay down, and the little girl came and started playing on my body. So I raped her because I could not resist the urge for sex” Buguwa said


He was caught red handed by the elder sister to the victim who raised an alarm as a result of which he nabbed and handed over to the police. The suspect is married and that his wife is pregnant at the moment.


The spokesperson of the command, SP Suleiman Yahaya Nguroje, confirmed the arrest and said that the Commissioner of Police, Afolabi Babatola has ordered the CID to investigate the matter and ensure the prosecution of suspect.
