 Anambra Government Reaffirms Mega City Drive, Demolishes Scores of Illegal Structures By Ruth Orji  The Anambra State Government has reaffirmed its commitment to the ongoing regeneration drive and restoration of sanity across the state through enforcement exercises and demolition of illegal structures statewide. The exercise was led by the Commissioner for Physical Planning and Urban Development, Barrister Chijioke Ojukwu, on July 8, in line with the Physical Planning Law of Anambra State. Stating that it is no longer business as usual, the commissioner urged residents to take every notice received from the ministry seriously and comply promptly with planning regulations henceforth. He, however, said several eviction notices had been served but were taken with a pinch of salt, adding that demolitions followed because structures defaced the environment or obstructed pedestrian walkways.  Mr Macaroni Bags Honourary Degree From Oyo Varsity


Nigerian comedian and actor, Adebowale Adedayo, aka Mr. Macaroni, was awarded a degree of Doctor of Creative Writing at the Precious Cornerstone University in Ibadan, Oyo State.


This was done at the institution's 2nd Convocation Ceremony for Awards of Degrees and Prizes on Saturday, November 11.


The skit-maker revealed this in photos shared on his X handle on Saturday.


His caption read, "I am deeply honored to be considered worthy at the discretion of the Senate and Council of The Precious Corner Stone University Ibadan to be deemed deserving of public recognition and award of the prestigious degree of DOCTOR OF CREATIVE WRITING (HONORIS CAUSA).
