McDonald’s launches World Cup meal and collectible cups ahead of 2026 FIFA tournament kickoff McDonald’s is launching limited-time World Cup meals and collectibles ahead of the FIFA tournament kickoff on June 11, as excitement builds for the expanded 48-team competition co-hosted by the United States, Mexico and Canada. The fast-food chain, returning as an official tournament sponsor, will roll out its World Cup-themed menu nationwide starting June 4. Customers can choose between a Big Mac or a 10-piece Chicken McNuggets meal, both served with a special gold-packaged Big Mac Sauce. As part of the promotion, McDonald’s is also releasing collectible cups featuring nine global soccer stars and cultural icons. The lineup includes Christian Pulisic, David Beckham, Ronaldinho, Thierry Henry, Son Heung-Min, Lamine Yamal, Alphonso Davies, Santiago Gimenez, and the brand’s mascot Grimace. My Family Is Now Homeless — Igbo Man Whose ‘N300m’ House Was Demolished In Lagos Speaks

Chimobi Ezenwa, an Igbo man whose mansion said to be worth N300 million was demolished in Lagos, says he is now homeless.

The Lagos State Government recently commenced the destruction of houses said to be in contravention of Lagos masterplan and quite interestingly, majority of these houses only belong to Igbo people.

Residents in the Abule Ado area of the state were filmed hurriedly removing their belongings after being given a 2 hours grace before demolition commences.

In a video trending on social media, one of those affected by the demolition said his house was pulled down without prior notice.

He said: “My name is Chimobi Ezenwa and I am one of the victims of the ongoing demolition here in Abule Ado, Lagos.

“This is my property, it has been demolished and there was no notice before encroaching on my property and destroying it. Even if I didn’t have an FHA (Federal Housing Authorities) allocation, if they asked me to pay for reclaiming of the land, I was ready to pay.”.
