  Former Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar, former Kaduna State Governor Nasir El-Rufai, and ex-Sokoto State Governor Aminu Tambuwal met with former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna State on Friday. The visit was revealed by Imran Wakili, a supporter of El-Rufai, in a post on X, where he highlighted El-Rufai’s continued respect for Buhari. The meeting coincided with reports of Atiku, El-Rufai, and Tambuwal engaging opposition leaders in Kaduna State as part of a broader political strategy. NAF AIRSTRIKES ELIMINATE  TERRORISTS IN BORNO STATE


The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has carried out airstrikes on a massing terrorists in an isolated location consisting of 3 zinced structures amid several trees at Tagoshe, on the Mandara mountains in Borno State.

According to the Director of Public Relations and Information of NAF, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet says from a footage, it was evident that the terrorists were massing up at a location for either a well-planned meeting or preparing for a major attack on own troops.

The statement explains that over a hundred heavily armed terrorists were observed throwing banters and moving randomly around the structures, which also had 4 troop carriers.

The aftermath of the airstrike revealed that 2 out of the 3 structures, as well as the entire troop carriers were destroyed.

The statement disclosed that there are indications that Abu Asad, a key figure in the Ali Ngulde group under Boko Haram, as well as other terrorists like Ibrahim Nakeeb, Mujaheed Dimtu, Mustafa Munzir and several fighters were among the several terrorists eliminated in the airstrike.

According to the statement, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has since commended the Air Component Commander and his men, while urging them to continue to synergize with the land component, as they maintain the momentum in keeping the terrorists on their toes.

 Actor Baba Ijesha appeals five-year jail sentence for sexual assault Nollywood actor Olanrewaju James, known as Baba Ijesha, has filed an appeal against his conviction for the sexual assault of a minor. He has requested the Court of Appeal, Lagos Division, to overturn the ruling of the Lagos State High Court, which sentenced him to five years in prison. The conviction was handed down by Justice Oluwatoyin Taiwo (retd.) of the Ikeja Domestic Violence and Sexual Offences Court on July 14, 2022 to Baba Ijesha. Baba Ijesha through his counsel Kayode Olabiran on Tuesday, told the appeal court that his client was set up and that he acted according to a script that he was invited to act on by his colleague. “The Appellant was set up.
