 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. NAF AIRSTRIKES ELIMINATE  TERRORISTS IN BORNO STATE


The Air Component of Operation Hadin Kai has carried out airstrikes on a massing terrorists in an isolated location consisting of 3 zinced structures amid several trees at Tagoshe, on the Mandara mountains in Borno State.

According to the Director of Public Relations and Information of NAF, Air Commodore Edward Gabkwet says from a footage, it was evident that the terrorists were massing up at a location for either a well-planned meeting or preparing for a major attack on own troops.

The statement explains that over a hundred heavily armed terrorists were observed throwing banters and moving randomly around the structures, which also had 4 troop carriers.

The aftermath of the airstrike revealed that 2 out of the 3 structures, as well as the entire troop carriers were destroyed.

The statement disclosed that there are indications that Abu Asad, a key figure in the Ali Ngulde group under Boko Haram, as well as other terrorists like Ibrahim Nakeeb, Mujaheed Dimtu, Mustafa Munzir and several fighters were among the several terrorists eliminated in the airstrike.

According to the statement, the Chief of the Air Staff, Air Marshal Hasan Abubakar has since commended the Air Component Commander and his men, while urging them to continue to synergize with the land component, as they maintain the momentum in keeping the terrorists on their toes.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”.
