 Aguiyi Orders Investigation into Trans Nkisi Mining Site Over Environmental Compliance By Amaka Isikala The Anambra State Commissioner for Environment, Dr. Clem Aguiyi, has ordered an investigation into the environmental compliance status of a mining site at Trans Nkisi, Onitsha, following concerns over extensive land degradation and its possible contribution to the growing gully erosion threatening the community. The directive followed an inspection visit to the site on August 1, during which the commissioner was accompanied by leaders of the Trans Nkisi community. The visit formed part of the ministry's ongoing assessment of environmentally sensitive locations across the state in line with Governor Chukwuma Soludo's Fifth Pillar of Development, Environment and Urban Regeneration. NOISE POLLUTION: LASEPA SEALED SEVERAL ESTABLISHMENTS IN LEKKI, V.I, AND AJAH. (PHOTOS).#PRESS RELEASE

The Lagos State Environmental Protection Agency (LASEPA) took decisive steps to combat Noise Pollution and dealt with environmental offenders on Thursday, 2nd November 2023.


We sealed several establishments in Lekki Phase 1, Victoria Island, and Ajah.


These include Shot Let Nigeria, Quays, and Lakers at Lekki Phase 1, Rush Club & Lounge at VI, and Bells Lounge, Bukky's Sport, Fire & Ice Bar, Grand Play Hotel, including Somewhere Restaurant & Bar at Ajah. 


These actions were taken in response to confirmed cases of noise pollution and other environmental infractions in the identified environments.
