 LASG ISSUES TRAFFIC ADVISORY AHEAD OF FANTI CARNIVAL The Lagos State Government has announced traffic diversions and restrictions ahead of the Lagos Fanti Carnival scheduled to hold on Monday, 6th April, 2026, around Tafawa Balewa Square (TBS), Lagos Island. In a bid to ensure a seamless and hitch-free carnival procession, vehicular movement will be restricted along major adjoining roads linking TBS. Affected Routes are; King George V Road (by Mobil Filling Station), Flag House inbound TBS, Force Road inbound TBS, Onikan Roundabout inbound TBS, and WaterBoy Roundabout by Old Defence House. Additionally, all link roads to Moloney Road, such as Military Road (by Old Defence Building), Ajasa Street, Boyle Street, and Hawley Street, will be closed to traffic during the event. NSCDC LAGOS STATE COMMAND RESTATES COMMITMENT TOWARDS ANTIVANDALISM OF OIL PIPELINES AND OTHER ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE, PARTICIPATES IN OPERATION SECURED LINE TO PROTECT NNPC PIPELINES.


In a bid, to further restate its commitment towards fighting vandalism of oil pipelines and other critical national assets and infrastructure and end all forms, of economic sabotage in the country, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command has once again demonstrated, its unwavering integrity, by its tangible and resourceful presence, aimed, at participating in the clearance operation, of the Armed Forces code named, "Operation Secured Line," which covers some corridors of Lagos and Ogun state, respectively. 

The NSCDC, Lagos State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, MFR, fdc was ably, represented, by Assistant Commandant of Corps Abdullahi Jubril Musa, Head of Antivandal Unit, at the aforementioned, operation, which was flagged off, today, Friday, 10th November, 2023, by Rear Admiral Mustapha Bala Hassan, the Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command. Security Agencies and stakeholders present at the Flag off were the NSCDC, the Nigerian Army, Navy, Airforce, the Department of State Security, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Officials.

 Tinubu announces arrival of 4 US attack helicopters President Bola Tinubu has stated that four attack helicopters will soon arrive in the country from the United States amid rising insecurity. Speaking at a meeting with a delegation of the Christian Association of Nigeria, led by its President, Archbishop Daniel Okoh, at his Lagos residence, on Friday, Dec. 26, Tinubu revealed that the Federal Government had ordered four attack helicopters from the U.S, adding that they will arrive in the country “soon”. He said: “Our orders for four attack helicopters from the United States of America will take some time to arrive.
