  A manhunt is underway for man who shot a Granite City Police Officer multiple times. Officers in Granite City, Illinois, responded to a call regarding a unwanted subject near the 2000 block of Johnson Road at 2:20 p.m. on Friday, December 5th. Upon arrival, officers attempted to make contact with the suspect. The suspect opened fire on officers before fleeing the scene.  Unfortunately, one officer was struck multiple times. The officer was rushed to a St. Louis University Hospital. He is expected to make a full recovery.  A massive manhunt is now underway to locate the suspect. Authorities warn the public that the man is considered armed and dangerous. NSCDC LAGOS STATE COMMAND RESTATES COMMITMENT TOWARDS ANTIVANDALISM OF OIL PIPELINES AND OTHER ASSETS AND INFRASTRUCTURE, PARTICIPATES IN OPERATION SECURED LINE TO PROTECT NNPC PIPELINES.


In a bid, to further restate its commitment towards fighting vandalism of oil pipelines and other critical national assets and infrastructure and end all forms, of economic sabotage in the country, the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps ( NSCDC ), Lagos State Command has once again demonstrated, its unwavering integrity, by its tangible and resourceful presence, aimed, at participating in the clearance operation, of the Armed Forces code named, "Operation Secured Line," which covers some corridors of Lagos and Ogun state, respectively. 

The NSCDC, Lagos State Commandant, Commandant of Corps Usman Ishaq Alfadarai, MFR, fdc was ably, represented, by Assistant Commandant of Corps Abdullahi Jubril Musa, Head of Antivandal Unit, at the aforementioned, operation, which was flagged off, today, Friday, 10th November, 2023, by Rear Admiral Mustapha Bala Hassan, the Flag Officer Commanding, Western Naval Command. Security Agencies and stakeholders present at the Flag off were the NSCDC, the Nigerian Army, Navy, Airforce, the Department of State Security, the Nigeria Police Force, and the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation Officials.
